Naphthenic Acid Corrosion Facility

A new test facility was built exclusively to study effects of naphthenic acid corrosion in refineries. It includes three different test systems:

  • High velocity rotating cylinder autoclave.
  • A battery of 6 stirred autoclaves.
  • A flow-through mini autoclave.
A variety of conditions can be studied including:
  • Temperature range - 300 - 400°C.
  • Pressure range: 0 - 100 psig.
  • Rotation range: up to 2500 rpm
