Prerequisites

FREECORP is an Excel Add-In which means that in order to run FREECORP Microsoft Excel must be installed on the user's computer. FREECORP is currently only available as a 32-bit package and therefore will not work with 64-bit Microsoft Office. As of version 1.007 the add-in will only work in Microsoft Excel 2003, Excel 2007, and Excel 2010 32-bit. If you have met these prerequisite criteria, you may download and install FREECORP.

Installation

Below you will find step by step instructions on how to install FREECORP for Excel 2003, Excel 2007, and Excel 2010. Please note that Excel 2010 comes in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions and FREECORP only works in 32-bit so please check if you are running 32 or 64 bit Office.

Microsoft Office 2003
  1. Open a new Excel Workbook
  2. Click Tools menu, then click Add-Ins.
  3. Click Browse, and then locate the add-in
  4. In the Add-Ins available box, Check the check box next to the FREECORP Add-In, then click OK.
  5. The add-ins menu should now contain FREECORP, click it and choose Point Model
  6. FREECORP should now start at the main parameter input window
Microsoft Office 2007
  1. Open a new Excel Workbook
  2. Click on the Microsoft Office Button, then click Excel Options and then Add Ins
  3. Select Manage: Excel Add-Ins then Click Go (at the bottom of the page)
  4. Click Browse, then browse to the location of where you extracted the FREECORP zip file and choose the FREECORP.xla file
  5. If Excel asks “Copy FREECORP.xla to the Add-Ins folder?” Click No.
  6. Click OK.
  7. The top ribbon menu should now contain a tab called Add-Ins, select it.
  8. Then choose FREECORP -> Point Model.
  9. FREECORP should now start at the main parameter input window.
Microsoft Office 2010
  1. Open a new Excel Workbook
  2. Click on File, then click Options and then Add Ins
  3. Select Manage: Excel Add-Ins then Click Go (at the bottom of the page)
  4. Click Browse, then browse to the location of where you extracted the FREECORP zip file and choose the FREECORP.xla file
  5. Click OK.
  6. If Excel asks “Copy FREECORP.xla to the Add-Ins folder?” Click No.
  7. Ignore the “Can’t find project or file”, Click OK.
  8. Click OK for the References window.
  9. The top ribbon menu should now contain a tab called Add-Ins, select it.
  10. Then choose FREECORP -> Point Model.
  11. FREECORP should now start at the main parameter input window.
