Marc Singer wins the 2020 NACE H.H. UHLIG Award

In recognition of his educational excellence in corrosion science, ICMT's Marc Singer will receive the NACE H.H. UHLIG Award at CORROSION 2020 in Houston.

NACE describes this award as being given for "outstanding effectiveness in post-secondary corrosion education at the undergraduate or graduate level as exhibited by an educator who excites their students through outstanding and innovative teaching in corrosion", for recipients that "effectively conveyed and instilled in students the principles and applications of corrosion science and technology, and has stimulated students to enter professional pursuits in defining and mitigating corrosion problems". Marc's recent Ph.D students have done exactly that, with his recent graduate students assuming corrosion-related positions in industry.

Past winners include such eminent scholars in corrosion science as Rudy Bucheit, Gerald Frankel, John Scully and ICMT's Srdjan Nesic. Marc graduated with his Ph.D from OHIO University in 2013 for his groundbreaking research on Top of the Line Corrosion.
