ICMT Hosts Corrosion Faculty from the University of Science & Technology, Beijing

After attending NACE2017 in New Orleans, corrosion faculty Xiaogang Li, Dawei Zhang, Zhiyong Liu and Cuiwei Du, of the University of Science & Technology Beijing?s Corrosion & Protection Center took a side trip to visit ICMT. They are leading one of the largest and most successful corrosion research groups in China and their recently published research includes papers on stress corrosion cracking, coatings, cathodic protection, spectroscopic characterization of corrosion products, microbiologically influenced corrosion, and microstructural effects on corrosion. In addition to a lab tour, they discussed a wide range of research and corrosion topics with ICMT faculty.
Current PhD students Shujun Gao and Yuan Ding, researching H2S corrosion and corrosion inhibition, respectively, are both alumni of University of Science & Technology Beijing.
