In recognition of his contributions to the chemical sciences, David Young (Assistant Director, Institute for Corrosion & Multiphase Technology) has been admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. The Royal Society of Chemistry was founded in 1841 and is one of the oldest professional societies dedicated to the chemical sciences. His research interests have spanned a wide range of subjects, including zeolite science, nanoporous semiconductors, hydrothermal stability, and corrosion. He currently leads a research project on black powder formation in sales gas pipelines.
